Stop by between 1:30PM and 4:30PM to examine real fossils on National Fossil Day with a “picking” activity featuring fossil-rich sediment from Aurora, North Carolina*.  Play our "Fossil or Fake?" game and use plaster to create your own fossil cast replica to take home.  Children must be supervised at all times.  (*All fossils and sediment must remain on site for scientific research purposes.)

To receive the Early Bird discount prices for the National Fossil Day Family Pop-in Workshop, please register before Wednesday, October 8th. The pop-in workshop runs continuously from 1:30PM to 4:30PM, so stop in at any time to begin the paleo fun! (Note: this program typically takes 45-60 minutes to complete. We recommend starting before 3:30PM to complete all activities in the allotted time.)
